NEW Scheduling System
Increasing Information and Improving lead-Times

Last spring, management determined that Warner’s scheduling system needed to be improved. While the company has consistently led the industry in delivering short delivery times, little data was available to determine an order’s status during production. “In today’s information age, associates and customers need to be able to quickly determine where a product is and when it will be available for delivery,” stated Controller, Carl Rugenstein.

We have recently implemented a new scheduling system that tracks every unit through each department. This allows order tracking by department, customer or due date and has allowed Warner to reduce the number of late orders by over 75% in the last month. The new scheduling system will aid in better forecasting of lead times, help ensure on-time deliveries and provide added feedback to customers concerning orders in production.

Save $ With Exclusive Primer
Warner's Primer is Saving Labor While Providing Superior Product for Indiana Customers

Last year Warner started using Sherwin Williams’ new E2-W840 primer, a coating that does not require scuffing or sanding prior to painting. The primer was designed to provide superior corrosion protection while offering a time savings to distributors. Customers simply wash the bodies with water, apply a sealer, and add the top coat.

Brindle Products of Grabill, Indiana, is one of the many Warner distributors taking advantage of the new process. Brian Aldrich of Brindle is very happy with the new primer. “We do a lot of custom work adding boxes and accessories to our Warner products. With the new primer, we simply scuff the parts in the affected areas and spray the body with sealer and top-coat,” said Brian. “Not having to sand the entire body has definitely been a time saver.”

Savings are estimated to be 2 labor hours or $100 on a single wheel eight foot body.

Warner sells the sealer kits for customers not currently using Sherwin Williams’ products. Painters can spray S.W. sealer and then use their standard top coat.

NEW! Models and Literature
New Models Exceed Customer's Expectations

Warner’s new Select and Select Pro models are receiving great reviews in the field. Customers love the added storage, increased door openings and extra features and benefits. Warner is currently manufacturing the new models across all product lines.

Warner designers developed new literature for our Select, Select Pro, custom units, enclosed tops and toppers to highlight these added benefits. Many copies of the new literature were distributed to Warner distributors. A new website will be coming soon!

Kleinstiver Institute
Promoting Safety through Research and Training

The Louis V. Kleinstiver Institute was established in 2004 to promote the production of safe commercial vehicles through the development of technical materials and educational training events. In addition, the Institute conducts research and awards scholarships for the study of engineering and related sciences at post high school institutions of higher learning.

The Institute was designed to benefit:
- the public through higher quality,
- companies engaged in the industry,
- employees of transportation companies and
- end-users of commercial vehicles.

Warner is proud to be a contributor of the Institute named after Louis V. Kleinstiver, a dedicated advocate for truck safety, engineering and technical knowledge. For more information on the Kleinstiver Institute, its programs or to become a fellow contributor, please visit:
